Uncle #1 - HELP!

This is Uncle! He'll certainly be, but you know, when a story is planned, it's not unusual to change your mind, the main character of the children's book I'm going to carry out in a very near future.
Uncles are almost always bad, wicked, and trecherous guys in children's tales. I want a kind, sensitive, and maybe a bit clumsy uncle. I want he is an inventor, at least at my present intentions.
One last thing: I think there is a more familiar term to call uncles, like daddy for father, but I don't know that. HELP! Thank you!
